I'm thinking what we are seeing with Steam and the Steam Deck is the probably what the future is just going to be in general. Buy a console model you want. Have a premium console at home or a hybrid handheld or both. If you go for both the data will wirelessly transfer to each other to be completely seamless. PC gaming will continue to get more simplified. Companies will move away from x86 and start using ARM which will allow for new types of efficient designs. The concept or pre-builts and gaming PC's become more of a niche thing as laptops and small form factor computers gain popularity and have the ability to play modern games without compromising things like battery life and size. At this point Xbox and Playstation will barely look any different than these kinds of PC's. That's my guess that will probably age like milk! What's yours? Will things remain overall the same or are we due for a shakeup? --- A Fallen Mascot ... Copied to Clipboard!

Non-portable consoles are dead after this gen PCs will move to APUs in small form factors and portables, as most people don't want to spend thousands on 1000+ watt GPUs and 2000+ watt PSUs that have a 50% chance to burn your house down every time you launch a game --- https://i.imgur.com/m6Rgs8D.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qUMZhdW.jpg https://i.imgur.com/LACtH6q.jpg ...
