the general gist if you wish to know:
3 bayo is cereza, who falls in love with luka, and the new character, viola, is their child. the game ends with bayo from 1, 2, and 3 fusing, but her lunar clock gets cracked. she and luka get dragged into Inferno while kissing as viola watches. viola takes over as the new bayonetta that works with rodin

We could see some of that from a mile away. And the polygon "review" crying about how bayonetta is not queer....
