I wrote "lol" in the topic title but it's not so much a mocking tone as it is a delightfully surprised tone. GameFAQs is no longer owned by CNET. Fandom INC has aquired the site and they have some goals in mind. GameFAQs+ will offer users some interesting options. First is ad-free video guides. We all love a good guide, whether written or video. But ad-free video guides? That's great! A solid partnership with YouTube has helped in this regard. This could be epic. Other features include an opportunity to create paid written/video reviews for Gamespot. The vetting process might be rigid but + members have an opportunity unlike non + members to be paid even as free lancer writers, if the work is up to standards. Other options include quarterly apparel and discounts to PS Store and Xbox Store. Nintendo shop not yet. Steam discussions are underway.
