Wow the career trajectory of James Gunn is nuts. No idea how this will go but at the very least we should be seeing interesting stuff.

Peacemaker was better than all of the MCU shows quite easily so hopefully we see more stuff like it.

Gunn probably won't be directing anymore but the two of them have put out essentially the best DCEU content to date. Aquaman, Shazam, The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, and some upcoming shit either involved one or both of them. The only movie that they didn't work on worth mentioning is Wonder Woman.

Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, and Doom Patrol are all fantastic, I think Gunn is the right guy going forward for DC. Sucks no more GotG, I can't imagine someone else at the helm after 3, but who knows.

Good. The Suicide Squad is the only DCEU movie I've genuinely enjoyed. I can only cross my fingers that this means Snyder will never adapt (or attempt to adapt) another DC story again.

The MCU's great and I'm pretty highly invested in it, but there needs to be some balance. It's kinda like when your favorite sports team starts trouncing their longtime rival year after year after year - feels good at first, but eventually you want your rival to step up and kick your ass once or twice just to put some life back into the rivalry.
