Friends from my home town (NYC suburb) are paying the cost of my entire mortgage payment just for their property taxes for similar sized houses and its not like I live in the middle of nowhere now. Its insane and there isnt a good solution as tax revenue is going to be a problem. I've researched the cost of moving out of NYS at least a dozen times over the last 5 years, and haven't left yet, and probably won't for at least another 5 years. Post actual numbers, or else the conclusion is anecdotal.
