Did you grow up with vinyl records?

I grew up with vinyl records in my household. I lived with my Mom and my Grandparents, so there was a record player and vinyl records from 60s-80s, which were occasionally played.

I didn't have my own vinyl records.

I wish I could do a sub-poll. I'd ask if CE had Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas on vinyl

Yeah. I got a decent sized section of my record collection that was once my parents. Stuff like The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Neil Young, CCR etc.

I started buying vinyl for myself around the mid 2000s.

I grew up in the 90s and despite there being an old turntable in the living room, I think we had - at most - one vinyl record and I don't think anyone ever listened to it.

Yeah my dad had a bunch. I remember him coming home from work with a 6 pack and sitting by the record player with his headphones on looking pissed off or maybe just emotional with his eyes closed.

I also had a small one that played these 45s that came with kids books. It's probably why I don't like to read now. I'd rather listen to the records.

The whole section on the bottom left used to belong to my parents. You can kinda tell they look a lot older than most of the other stuff.

Unfortunately no. My parents both sold their vinyl collections by the time I was born and were full on board with cassettes and CDs.

I only started collecting records about 7 years ago.

My grandparents had some but their record player didn't work and they never replaced or repaired it.

It was a combination of vinyl, cassette tapes, and CDs. Personally I never used vinyl records though.
