I enjoy it

It is. I get that it's not for everyone, since it's a slice-of-life comedy that doesn't have any real stakes and today's audience is more interested in serialized storytelling. And the humor might not work for some folks (I found it legit hilarious a lot of the time)

But goddamn the incel rage against it is insane.

Its alright.

Gave up after three epsiodes.

Think the actress playing Jen was great but the show was too mild for me to stick with <_<

Umm actually, she twerked. I guess you missed that scene? Just go watch it and you'll realize the show is actually on par with Birth of a Nation in oppressing the real minorities, straight white men.

It's fine. Some things could definitely been done better and the cgi looks pretty bad still, but people were going to hate on it no matter what.

I have no interest in it and haven't watched any of it because it seems to be made for a certain audience and I don't think I'm that audience.

It's really bizarre how many nerds I've seen on reddit and YouTube tho who have hate watched every single episode and complain about it endlessly and can't just accept that it's not for them.

The Comedy missed for me. I don't think I laughed once. And the plot was horrible. It was a whole show just to complain about atl-right dudes. I can see one or two eposides being about that, but that was the whole show.

I was hoping for a bit more action even thigh I was expecting and appreciated it had a lot of comedy.

I enjoyed the show overall but I hope to see a bit more of the superhero side of her life if they did more. But better written lawyer stuff would be nice too. Making Titania an influencer was a weird decision I still wasn't completely on board with by the end, but it was fine for what it was and they made good jokes with it.

I feel like Tatiana Maslany did a great job with the character. There was probably a bit too much Wong not because hes a bad character, but because it was a bit jarring to see him being quite so silly. The Skaar reveal was completely unnecessary.

That said, I enjoyed the show.

Other than the final episode I enjoyed it, the final episode parody of the old show opening was great, but after that I was disappointed in how it all played out imo.

I'm trying to think who owned their new character better: Tatiana Maslany or Iman Vellani (Ms. Marvel).

I guess Ms. Maslany gets it by default given she's an older and more experienced actor.

Another in the growing list of "not unanimously well received, but rather than acknowledging criticism, just blame it on hysterical internet users"

I'm surprised that people didn't like or were even caught off-guard by the ending. Have they ever seen a Mel Brooks movie? Granted he did it way better, but it was still fairly cute, and fit the overall show well; tbh, the way things were going, I would have been way more disappointed with the show if they'd played it out normally. I desperately want some youtuber to make a 'deleted scene' where She-Hulk busts through the door of the 'French Mistake' set while she's looking for Kevin.

The problem with satire / deconstruction is that it's monstrously difficult to have a satisfying ending without veering back hard into the very thing it's attempting to deconstruct. So you can either have a satirical ending, or an ol' fashioned good v. evil punchup, but you can rarely have both at once.

Where was all the positive response during the release of the first three episodes lol. Seemed like as it aired it was just negative response.

Now that it is over all I hear is positive and few negative remarks.

Going to assume that the types who judged the show sight unseen had already gotten in their review-bombing, and had quickly moved on to the next source of manufactured outrage. The twerking scene was in Ep 3's mid-credits, so the people turned off by that jumped ship at that point. At this point, the number of people who stuck with the show until the end because they liked it probably outnumber the people who stuck with it just to complain about it.

No see you don't understand. In the early stages of an episodic show's running, it's not only important but essential to be the first person out of the gate calling it out for how bad it will probably be. /s

watched the whole thing. didnt care for it one bit except the last half of the last episode

the shows since wandavision have not been good...

The plot did go somewhere. It was about Jen learning to be She-Hulk.

She didn't like it at first, then enjoyed the attention, then realized some people only liked She-Hulk and not herself, then learned to like herself despite her insecurities, then met someone who liked both of her, and finally became able to accept and balance this new half of her. All the while figuring out how to reclaim the agency of her own life to the point she literally had to tell the writers to fuck off and let her handle her story.

Not to mention how every episode also had a pretty clear structure and resolution to its isolated plotlines.

But also yeah, it made fun of incel white dudes who hate women. Because they knew those people wouldn't like the show anyway and wanted to call out their double standards. It was funny.

I watched a few episodes and while they were entertaining they didnt quite grasp my attention enough to continue. But I also generally dislike superhero stuff so theres that. I wanted to give it a fair shot at least. But definitely not a bad show just not my cup of tea.

I havent watched any superhero movies/shows since endgame so I wouldnt know

The plot of the villains. You know the people making her look bad, stealing her blood, doing a campaign to crush her. Like that was a major thing within the who shoe and it just ended. She complained about the ending saying it is like very other movie TV show ending ( which it is not). And everything was just fixed. Heck we didn't see her fight it in court. Just everything is all better down. And she didn't handle her story. It just ended with the police and DD there. The lawyer aspect of it was bad to top everything else off.

I am happy you enjoyed it but they plots that set up were not slaved they were just hand waved away. I complain about those people all the time here . However a whole show about how bad they are just missed for me .

probably not unless it turns out whatever marvel phase we are in turns out as good as the first few phases in which case Ill go back and watch all the movies Im skipping today

Antman 3 will involve the next major threat equal to Thanos. He is going to be in a bunch of movies I think and then the final battle in the next Avengers movie

Oh. Ill have a think about it after it releases then. I havent been following the MCU since endgame so I dont know whats going on anymore.

It wouldnt be an MCU show if the same users didnt come in to tell you how bad they thought it was.

If you enjoyed it thats cool.

I enjoyed it up until the end.

They really jerked us around. With the way it ended it basically is incompatible with the rest of the MCU going forward.

The show wasn't really about the villains all that much though and most episodes they were barely relevant at all.

I didnt like it to start off with but I grew on me more as the show went on. The finale was sort of a mixed bag, but thats been the trend with every single Marvel show so far, so I cant really say its surprising.

Just finished the show myself. Honestly enjoyed it, the end was fun, in a deprecating, self-referential way.
