For me, Cartoon Network was way better because I hated how many live action shows Nickelodeon had. I wanted to see cartoons and Cartoon Network delivered.

Nick started out better, by the late 90s Cartoon Network was better. I stopped watching after the early 00s, so no clue after that.

When I was a kid I definitely preferred Nick. It just seemed much more varied with story-driven cartoons, gag-cartoons, ones that fell somewhere in the middle, live action sitcoms, variety shows, some of the best game shows of the time, kid horror, seasonal event contests, award shows, etc compared to CNs mostly gag shows and Scooby Doo marathons.

Im aware that Nick fell from grace hard and fast as soon as Spongebob entered the picture, but before that it was great.
