i think PS2 and under are due remakes but the problem is the audience for those games are old like us. I think a lot of people our age are aging out of gaming in favor of other activities which isn't a problem just means they have more time to be picky and choose what games to play. The audience for PS3 game remakes are young enough to strongly want them and would actually buy them even if they are pointless IMO.

Just fixing the controls on that Sonic and the Secret Rings game would take it from like a 4 to a 6 or 7, fixing balance issues would take it to a 7 or 8. There's a really cool game there buried beneath shitty Wii motion (pre-plus) controls and some awkward grinding issues.

Agreed. Sony really needs to remaster/port over the R&C franchise.

It's crazy to think that the Jak & Daxter games have PS4 ports, but Sly and R&C do not.

They can benefit from better updated textures, frame rate, resolution....a remaster. But a remake is a greedy waste of resources for a quick buck.

Not not remakes, just shallow remasters that do very little and go on sale for full price. And then the current state of the video game community makes sure it sells out.
