I'm going through it right now and enjoying it quite a bit. Feels a bit dated but not unplayably so.

I've heard that there's some vestigial Games For Windows Live code that makes Fallout 3 hard to run, but it worked on my last two machines without any effort.

Is the Sims 4 worth loading up Steam, having to login, and deal with updates? Keep in mind that sounds like a nightmare to me.

If you have no or very vague memories of Sims 1 and 2, Sims 4 is generally worth it. If you have very recently played 2 or 3, you would notice how hollow the base game feels.

I played the Sims 2 a bit on PC not too much a long long time ago. I played The Sims Online a lot though which basically wasn't really that similar to the base Sims games at all. I also played the first Sims that came out on the PS2 a lot. Then played that Urbz Sims games on the consoles. So, I have put a lot of time into things that aren't the traditional PC Sims experience.
