Not really. You vote for parties in the UK, and said party is in charge until the next election. It's ultimately no different from legislative leadership shakeups between elections in the US. There's an inherent, built-in understanding that premiership changes can happen just as speakership changes can happen here.

Truss being exceptionally dim-witted and immediately losing public confidence necessitating a change is actually a sign of stability that the UK can shift course without total upheavel.

In an ideal world, I'd say that parties in the UK would have a shorter mandate than five years, though that's from the outside looking in.

One of the arguments for FPTP (first past the post voting) is that it ensures stable governments. Well, ever since 2016 we've proved that wrong.
