All I did was steal a bow and arrow set from a shopkeeper because he priced it at $980. if he made it cheaper, i would've bought it.

It's funny that in order to 100% the game, you *have* to steal something (preferably the Bow) to get a photo, and then you can't ever set foot in the shop again or you'll get killed (and lose the secret post-credits scene)

if you have the original GB version, you can use the screen skip glitch to do lots of fun things. One time I managed to hack my way into dungeon 7 from the beginning of the game and I couldn't get through it so I left and foolishly saved and quit. I hadn't used the key so the tower was facing the wrong way and I got stuck. It was super fun because I ruined my save file and had to delete it and start over

I also got that same result when I hacked into a fake dungeon through a cave and hit a warp circle, which teleported me to a different cave right over a pit, so I got stuck in an infinite loop of falling and had to delete that file as well.

The island seemed like it was in homeostasis, until Link started breaking everything.
Two relatively peaceful villages with largely benign wildlife between them, the nightmares kept to the dungeons, and the only real "conflicts" were Richard's castle and Papahl getting lost in the mountains.
