Definitely shorter than 4, and absolutely underdeveloped especially Franklin's story, from his main "villain" (laughable really) to his side characters.

But I actually liked Michael, the first GTA family man it's weird. And I was on board for psychotic Trevor, disliked him much less than I thought I would.

All villians are very undercooked in V sadly. Thankfully RDR2 proved to me they can still do very strong and complelling villians outside of Micah Bell but he's not meant to be a deep character and plays his role in the story masterfully.

one of the GOATs, IMO.

I liked how the antagonists were less these imposing, enigmatic figures, and were instead middlemen in their enterprises.

it felt more realistic, and gave the story a chance to better focus on the characters...with the exception of Franklin, who it pushed to the side, at times.

anyway, it was also really fun, and I dug the strangers and freaks thing.

Most characters were lackluster, shit I feel like I still can't even name most of them and played the game a dozen times.

Franklin, Lamar, Stretch, Chop, some Ballers guy you kidnap, Simeon, aunt, some ex girlfriend, some drug addict cousins, Beverly.

Michael, Amanda, Jimmy, Tracy, Lester, Medrazo, David, some rich guy, some movie producer, some FIB guy and his Hispanic sidekick.

Trevor, some guy with a knee brace, some Juggalo, that Juggalo's cousin, some Meth Lab family, some Mexican drug dealer, some Chinese guy and his translator, your friend in prison, Medrazo's wife, some old English couple.

You know what I was thinking the missions were way too scripted and restrictive... in past GTA games I'd try to see how many alternate ways I could beat a mission from the "normal way" the game wants me to beat it but I couldn't do that in this game

The scripting was a bit too restrictive at times. The farmhouse mission could've been so much better than it already was, but still a quality game overall.

I chose the last option obviously which had Franklin work with Trevor and Michael to beat all their enemies, and it was underwhelming as a final mission.

But the other 2 options are even worse, why would I ever only kill Trevor or only kill Michael, don't know why the game even bothered having those as an option when it was a very restricted game the entire way through. Plus either ending makes no sense. It's also weird that they had Franklin be the deciding vote, I felt like it was more Michael's story, then Franklin then Trevor.

Agreed.

Also the movie producer missions should have been way more fun than they were. If it were San Andreas or Vice City days, those movie studio missions could have made for some great, hilarious missions and scenarios
