It all stems from Bugs Bunny eating a carrot. His first scene doing it was a reference to the Clark Gable movie It Happened One Night where his character shows up eating a carrot and says "What's Up Doc?"

People forgot the reference over time, but since Bugs kept doing it, it was assumed it meant rabbits ate carrots. But they eat mostly greens.

Rabbits will eat anything they can literally chew on. They don't eat them naturally because they require digging up.

They do. I give carrots to the rabbits in my yard all the time and they eat them.

I saw It Happened One Night at a local theater. It was a pretty decent movie, but I'm sorry to say I don't remember anything about it except for that scene and Claudette Colbert showing her leg to get a car when they were hitchhiking.

This topic is definitely created by somebody that doesn't own rabbits.

My bunnies would flip out if I got the bag out of the fridge right now, but as others have said in this topic they should really be monitored and definitely isn't something they should be eating every day.

carrots aren't even good for rabbits because of how much sugar they have.

Rabbits will totally eat the green part of the carrot.

If you can find them you can buy the whole carrot, cut off the green parts for your rabbit and eat the carrots yourself.

You can also eat the green part of the carrot yourself in a salad it's quite good actually.

Don't know why they sell carrots with the green shit already cut off.
