So 3 middle budget RPGs have come out this week that seem to be the type of games that are at least sorta flawed, but they more than make up for this by being different in a very good way. They're all on steam, and IIRC Asterigos and Lost Eidolons are on the the Sony and Xbox systems as well.

Asterigos is Souls-Lite(Not to be confused with a Souls-liKe) has been described as sort of a combo of Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and Immortals: Phoenix Rising. I played the demo, and a couple hours of the full game itself, and dear god am I impressed. Easy mode is, god forbid, actually fucking easy, and the combat is a lot of fun. The MC Hilda is this really interesting woman who talks quite a bit, and has a lot of interesting conversations. And the atmosphere is pretty good too. All in all, it hits all the spots I want a game to hit!

The Last Oricu I played the demo during one of the steam next fests. I'd describe it as a VERY dark sci-fi medievil Action RPG that feels like a throwback to the 2000's era with HUGE Star Wars KOTOR 2 vibes. It's easily the most flawed out of all of these 3 games, and I'm gonna try to hold off playing it for a bit in hopes that its issues get a little more ironed out, but god, I have never played an Action RPG where your actions changed so much. Things change not only depending on your dialogue choices, but also depending on whether you win certain fights, or whether you're caught at this part where you need to stay out of sight. Again, very rough around the edges, but totally worth at the very least looking into!

Finally, Lost Edilions is another game I played the demo for during a steam next fest, and it and The Last Oricu totally stole the show for me! This game felt like somebody heard about my issues with Fire Emblem, and decided to make a similar game that addressed them. The main complaint being the RNG making me miss my attacks so much. In this game, everyones attacks alway hits, and IIRC they always do the same amount of damage too. It's like another recently released double A RPG, TemTem in that aspect. It also really did a good job at making me care about the MC and everyone around him. It's probably the game that I wanna play the most out of the 3.

Anyways, here's the steam links for all 3 games, as well as a review for all 3 games from ACG. I'd love to discuss them with you all.

I've had my eye on Asterigos for a while, it's amazing.
Not a Souls fan and I don't play games to be frustrated by BS difficulty. Saw people play on Hard and get killed in 1-2 hits, so it's nice to know Easy is actually easy...
Definitely reminds me of Fenyx Rising, which is a plus.
