Is the study in question the one talking about how people react to sexual images? I think correlating reaction to attraction seems a bit of a stretch. I think we're kind of just hardwired to react to sexual stimuli of any kind, so it seems like a rather disingenuous, pushy conclusion.

Not inherently. You could probably get a slight reaction out of an animation of two toasters humping or two animals breeding as well. I wouldn't take either as an indication of anything other than that humans like sex, so anything inherently sexual will get some sort of reaction from us.

I'm technically in a gay relationship because my spouse ended up being trans male.

I've never developed any sort of attraction to anyone that I didn't initially perceive as female, though. But, I'm also asexual, so I'm only technically "straight" in the romantic sort of sense.

I'm surrounded by unusual circumstances.

Also, I can guarantee you that anyone making the claim that nobody is 100% straight/gay/whatever hasn't actually been in everyone's mind and walked a mile in their shoes, and therefore isn't qualified to make such a claim.

Too obvious for my taste. I think a better implication is that we are social creatures that lived very communally for many thousands of years. A woman who becomes aroused at the sight of another naked woman isnt necessarily having a reaction of I kinda wanna get with that, and is likely having more of a naked people, it must be sexy time kind of reaction.

On the other hand it makes sense that women would evolve to where they are more likely to have same sex attraction as it would only be beneficial in surviving socially, and wouldnt necessarily hinder their ability to reproduce.
