And if so, what was your opinion of it?

Honestly, I couldn't get a code for it but I was able to play it at my friends house and I loved the hell out of it. From the presentation, to the crazy amount of options given to you with the drive gauge system... it was all pretty solid. I love the fact that this game has a heavy emphasis drive gauge management, which adds a crap ton of risk and reward to every decision you make. The netcode at times were shoddy, but for the most part for a fighting game beta this functioned correctly. I was able to play a ton of games because I found matches fairly quickly. I was using Ryu and then switched over to Kimberly because I lost to someone doing her BS and she was fun as hell. I tried to get into Jamie, but I do know he probably takes a lot more effort in the training mode to use properly than Kimberly where everything she does just works. I'm definitely getting this game day 1 when it releases.

I'll take that as a no then. I just learned from my friend that it was a closed beta, which probably explains why I didn't get a key lol.
