I sometimes see a classic sign next to a new-style building and it's a weird contrast

Still one where I live, been the same since the mid 90s. The Pizza Hut is also the same.

Out in the sticks, mostly.

There was one not too far from me in a relatively urban area too in the south hills of Pittsburgh that just finished remodeling to the new style like a week ago
