Just beat this game for the first time in my life thanks to Cowabunga Collection. I could have never beaten this game without the save/rewind feature. This game is damn impossible

But wtf at the end, after beating Shredder, Splinter says "I can now transform back to my real form". And turns human. Wtf

Cartoon canon was that Splinter was Yoshi and not just his pet. In fact the end of season 1 had the prospect of changing him human as a pseudo-stake for the final battle.

Which is funny because despite using a number of cartoon-exclusive characters and locations, the whole game kinda gave off Mirage Comics vibes with how gritty everything was. Hell, the american coverart was literally just one of the comic covers lol

Not a fan of that one.

The Arcade Game, Manhattan Project, and Turtles in Time are way better

Swapping characters on the fly was pretty novel in them gaming days. Really its a decent experience for its time. Non linear exploration, unique bosses, multiple weapons and sub weapons. Honestly its like a solid Castlevania game but with 4 characters and overworld segments. What really hurt it for me was how aggressive the enemy respawning was.
