I think blowing tens of thousands of dollars on a wedding isnt the greatest idea.
Also I would either rent the dress or get something I would actually wear again.

My preference would be for a small, intimate affair. Then we could spend the money on something better.

You can blame my girlfriend for this topic: we passed a wedding on the beach and she asked me about it. Were definitely not getting married (soon)

Not a fan. They bore me, tbh.

I think they are fine for the people who want them. What I don't like is people assuming they are required or just having the ceremony to satisfy their families.

We had a small, intimate ceremony for only $5k and it was still too much. I should have just listened to my wife and not had the ceremony at all.

Mine was one of the most fun days of my life. Never really get a day where my wife and I are the stars of the day/evening and the big deal is about us. I probably won't again until my funeral lol

We were smart with our budget and got similar experiences to people who paid significantly more so I think what we spent was overall worth it. The venue we had was awesome.

I'll settle for a small ceremony with very close friends. Of course, it'll have to be a traditional Betazoid ceremony.

Hate the actual ceremony. The afterparty is fun though

We did a comparatively small one. I get wanting to have some semblance of a wedding and reception but I think dumping thousands and thousands into it is generally a waste of money.

My parents were invited to one of those once, they didn't go.

My own opinion is that I respect what they mean to people even though I doubt I'll ever get married. If I do get married I refuse to have the wedding outside and I'd prefer to keep it small.

Nude wedding

The only wedding I've been to in my adult life is my sister's. The memory will forever bear the stain of being the last event I ever wore a tux at, and God the knowledge that this would be the last time was all that got me through putting that shit on.
It had all the pomp and ceremony, fancy food, alcohol, an hours-long dance party (I was off in the back with my cousin and my friend's little sister, who came along with her mom), and it probably cost tens of thousands of dollars. I don't really want to know.

I def want to see my girl in a tux though. She would look so adorable. It would probably be some shade of dark green, like half of everything she wears (the other half is split between browns and black).

Seeing her in a dress would be wrong saw a pic of an enby friend in a dress from years ago and commented they looked wrong in it. They responded, "Yup, it's like drinking orange juice after brushing your teeth".
