Neat to see these. I like the look of the Zelda one. Interesting that the Punch Out one uses Glass Joe as the cover guy. And not even the blonde version from the Nintendo game, but the brown haired one from the arcade game:

The Zelda is cool because it's more representative of the game, but it doesn't stand out as different or special as much as the minimalist gold box we got did

I love seeing stuff like that. Zelda looks pretty good and I never liked Punch Outs art so this is better imo. Though using Glass Joe is bizzare

Did the artists for the black box games just not care or did they deliberately misrepresent the games for shits and giggles?

Donkey Kong has Mario wearing the wrong color scheme.
Pinball shows a sprite from the minigame instead of anything pinball related.
Pro Wrestling features wrestlers who aren't in the game.
Punch-Out shows a cowardly boxer (Glass Joe) with an unsure facial expression.
Legend of Zelda shows Link battling one of the less common enemies in the game.
Super Mario Bros. has Mario jumping out of a lava pit.

I never thought about it before, but I'm starting to wonder if the artists were just messing around.
