Wish there were something you could do to help your Democratic candidate of choice win? Well, there is. You could volunteer for him/her.

I'm not sure there's good evidence that door to door campaigning and phone banking do much to voting behavior. Which is what campaigns usually use volunteers for.

Not certain about that.

I once ran for office and did some some banking for myself. I think I picked up a couple votes, but most seem baffled that I called and a few were angry. Given the time invested, I would not do it again, barring learning some unusually compelling technique.

Getting yelled at doesnt sound like my thing. I did that in retail for 10 years. No thanks.
