Holiest day on the biblical calendar. A day to reflect on the past year and seek God's forgiveness.

A day of fasting starting at sundown tonight. It's a dry fast. You're only supposed to drink water or eat if it's necessary for your health or medication. Like if you're diabetic you have to eat to maintain blood sugar.

This will be my 3rd yom Kippur. It's kind of a strange feeling day. A day of reflection and study. I definitely felt weird the first time doing a dry fast. It becomes a very somber feeling day.

Yesterday was the very day Adam opened up his eyes for the first time in the Garden of Eden and proclaimed God as king. It was the anniversary of the creation of the world.

Since it is a 24 hr fast I'm having a steak, purple sweet potato, and either broccoli or brussel sprouts for supper. Waiting for the steak to come to room temp at the moment
