While I was warned, the MLB topic fell.

We have just a few days left before the playoffs begin! Jays are getting hot at the right time and will be hosting the Wild Card series, which is awesome.

The Cardinals made it into the playoffs and are hosting a first round series, but I'm not confident in the team based on how inconsistent they've been playing down the stretch. At least the Pujols and Molina (and maybe Wainwright?) farewell tour has been fun in the meantime.

Phillies have grabbed the final playoff spot!!

They'll probably face the freaking Mariners, too.

That is must watch TV lmao. No matter who wins, the result will be great.

Jays host the Mariners so yeah, either way a cool fun team will make it to the next round.

LOL Mets. Blew the division lead they had almost the entire season, and now they'll probably just get knocked out by the Dodgers in the NLDS (assuming they beat the Padres in the wild card).

One more game and the D-backs suffering is over for the season. I swear to fuck they better not trade away Gallen in the offseason.

I don't. As a Cardinals fan, the team's way too inconsistent for me to be confident in them in the playoffs.

It's brand new. This is the first year of the new format. The first round series are best 2 out of 3 games, all at the higher seed's stadium, while the top 2 seeds in each league get a bye.

The Phillies have some really good starting pitching though. Much better starting pitching than the Cardinals have. The Cardinals have always been the true Wild Card in the playoffs though. Who the hell knows what they'll be capable of? They could fall flat on their face in 2 games to the Phillies or make an improbable run to the World Series.

I like how the Jays match up with the Mariners. Honestly I feel the Jays can match up and beat any team in the AL.

Mets season was the most frustrating 101 win season I've ever watched, simply because of the schedule.

The Braves series last weekend was supposed to be the first series of the season, but the work stoppage pushed the 1st six games to the last six games.

Who knows how those games play out if they're the 1st three games of the season.

Both teams finished with 101 wins. The head to head was 10-9 Atlanta. 10 of the 19 H2H games were in Atlanta. Who knows if it's any different if that extra game was at Citi Field instead of Truist Park.

There's a handful of games where I can say "Mets should've won", but there's also time where they ended up winning games they had no business winning. Was losing to Philly 7-1 with 2 out in the 9th and ended up winning 9-7. Was down 4-0 to Miami last week, and Escobar drives in 5 runs in the last 4 innings to win 5-4 in 10.

And I'm sure if I looked at the Atlanta schedule, there's a dozen games they won where the "should have" lost, or lost where the "should have" won. So it all (literally) evens out.

But now they're 0-0 with (arguably) one of the best pitching staffs in baseball. One that is playoff tested (albeit it 6 years ago in deGrom's case).
