A friend of mine has straight up been proposing that we hook up and sleep around. They have a s/o in New York that they leave town to visit every once in a while.

I'm not gonna do it, but is it bad that I kinda wanna? >_>

As an adult, no. I wouldn't want someone to do that to me, so I wouldn't do it to someone else.

But, looking back on my high school years... while I didn't sleep with my best friend (lord knows we both wanted to), we definitely crossed some boundaries that would be considered cheating.

Also, this. Obviously, it somewhat depends if the girls a coworker or some other amicable relationship I cant end without it affecting other areas of my life, but I have no patience for this. Id ensure she didnt have an open relationship and, if she didnt, Id let her SO know (making sure to stress that I did not and would never act on her advances).

The SO deserves to not waste his/her time in a loveless relationship and if that means I dont have a person in my life who lacks empathy and loyalty, all the better.

Nah, I don't wanna do it behind their partners back unless she was gonna break up with him (makes more sense for them to break up with them first) anyway and/or he's abusive. Sometimes it tells you more about them than their partner. That person who cheated on their partner could do the same exact thing to you if they got "bored." You want someone loyal if you are looking for a long term relationship.

Honestly it can backfire and turn into a very nasty situation. Let her know you respect her feelings but it's not something you can do because it's just not right.

So likely the answer is "no I wouldn't", but I would feel a little different about it if I was hooking up with someone I had just met at a bar/club versus some more involved thing where I knew the people involved (even if I didn't like the partner).
