One thing that rubs me the wrong way is initially Rukia tries to say that Soul Society is like heaven and paradise but when you actually get there, there's a literal societal chain of hierarchy there. There's poverty and hunger and basically all the awful shit IRL that's there. WTF

Yeah that part is kind of weird. She was adopted into nobility, but she still remembered what life was like as a commoner. So it's not like she was completely blind to the awfulness.

The brief explanation kisuke gave was that Byakuya only shattered the power Ichigo borrowed from Rukia, and Ichigo still had his natural power.

That's the thing I always disliked about Soul Society. Of all the crazy things you could do with a possible afterlife, they went for getting reincarnated into a shitty medieval town. Maybe this is where the Isekai truck dropped everyone of at first before he started working for a better travel agency.

Nine out ten shows my best friend watches are anime...that mfer had never seen Ghost In The Shell, Death Note and Akira until I forced them on him 2 years ago. And he ended up sleeping through the latter half of Akira.
