That's kind of wrong, because most games use pay to win and loot box mechanics. How can you be immersed in a game if you have to spend real world money for some ingame currency?

They confuse being immersed with being an actual addict. Even though it revolves heavily around luck, they go to great lengths to get that stupid generic anime girl they're currently fascinated with instead of dropping the game and playing something better.
