Vanilla Onimusha, not Genma, is probably the worst one of the whole series if were not counting tactics and Blade warriors.

But this was the game they used to check interest? At least have a 1-3 collection or Genma.

I dont know of anyone who gave a shit about this port.....

i remember when ps2 had no games, and all we would play was onimusha and the mgs 2 demo disc

It was a bad call to not make it Genma but I dont agree about it being the worst in the series. That was 3.

Ive never understood the positive reactions to three. I played it at release and thought that the opening cutscene was great and that everything else was dogshit.

They could have given us collection. 2 was one of my favorite games. And it is not like they bad he game play that much better. The first game literately feels like it stops before the final section.

I don't think the first is a bad game at all, but it was baffling to not a collection.

Does the remaster at least let you use the control stick? Even playing the original back then, it was baffling that you could only move with the d-pad

And Id take Blade Warriors over Vanilla.

Thinking 1 is worse than 3 is lol. 3 is playable because its that Onimusha goodness, unlike the abomination thst is Dawn of Dreams, but its easily the weakest of the trilogy.

Also I dont care about Genma.

They absolutely should have done the whole trilogy, though.

Surely you understand general reviews representing the general opinion of games. Generally speaking, of course....

Even if these games were tied: Jean Reno puts 3 on top.

Reviews are opinions people give on things and multiple of them agreeing if something is good or bad generally decides its overall quality.

Dawn of Dreams is fantastic.

However, its also a massive departure from what came before and I can see why fans of the series who expected a more straightforward sequel might not have liked it.

Its tied with 2 for being my favourite in the series.

You meant to say Onimusha is the second best, behind 2

Maybe if Genma didnt exist but for Genma to exist and you still port the original is just stupid.

And every single game after 1 was such an improvement over it.
