Heard it's good as a breakfast food with rice. But I'm not sure about fermented stuff outside of kimchi lol. I read online that it tastes like bacon but earthier?

No. I had it at famous Japanese restaurant and it literally tastes like month old sweaty socks worn by an obese guy

I think it's an acquired taste. I'd say it doesn't fit the American palate though.

It depends on where you are but the fact that you recognize that it's primarily old people eating it: the primary base is aging out of being a customer. This holds true with tons of foods in tons of places. Like, stargazy pie is delicious, one of the few British things worth eating, and healthy. How many people do you think are actually continuing to eat it as its "a lot of old people eat this" was over 50 years ago?

That isn't that odd. People get into way too huffy a fit when people put ingredients onto something that they aren't used to. Honey really wouldn't be that out there and if you have a stronger meat, such as salami or pepperoni, it would work just fine. Honey ham is a thing for a reason.

Natto is one of those foods that looks a lot worse than it tastes. For something that always gets brought up when the topic is "disgusting foods", it's actually not all that bad.

It just tastes like regular beans, but a lot slimier.

Tranquilo my friend. I wasn't trying to make it out like some blasphemous thing. I was just intrigued and heck, I kinda wanna try it tbh. Just like natto lol
