The first one literally doesn't make sense though unless the game had a big meter in the corner that warns you, but then it wouldn't be SSBB style tripping, it'd be another stat to manage.
The second one doesn't sound like the Soulsborne people either. They're video game people, not realism people. These guys write big essays about world design, gameplay, how and why the games are designed to clue you in and tell you what you need to know. All that stuff.

You might get a few crazies going "Look they made a bunch of games without this feature so go play those if you really want your padded room simulator, this is one for the people who like being asked to adapt on the fly and like a little unpredictability." but it's not likely there'd be a lot, I don't meet many people who liked SSBB's tripping.
