We know God exists and has origin because we are here(in whatever form) to discuss it. For this reason our (perceived) uniqueness puts us closest to something divine, but angels and demons and deities are the default reasoning for superstitious ideas about existence after death from thousands of years ago. Our lives are as close to godliness as we will ever get, then we return back to invisible forms of energy and matter.
