Seems like middle school. His voice doesn't seem deep enough and they look too small for high school. Are humans getting punter? I heard that once.

I had to go pick up my nephew from middle school last week. The thing that surprised me was how tall everyone was. There was one kid who must have been 6 and a half feet if not taller already. Maybe I am misremembering, but I don't remember being full grown until I was in high-school and now even my 6 grade nephew is taller than his father. I thought he might just be an outline, but he was one of the shorter kids.

For me, it was that summer away from 8th and then coming back to 9th and everyone had grown a foot. There were a few that were already doing that in 8th. I missed some of 7th until I got kicked out of military school. The kids at military school were a mix from shrimp to super tall. I was there 6 months l, felt like 6 years.

I remember one weird thing at the end of 5th grade. We had a field trip and met up with bunch of other schools in the county or state of where ever, right. I don't recall what it was for. It was like a big lunch room hall that faced a stage and a mic.

Well, you know those big brown foldout tables they used to use that seated like 50 of us? Each school (a couple classes per school) sat at each table. Maybe two tables.

Apparently it was all 5th graders too. Up at the front these little kids came in after us and we were all whispering how small they were and looked like 3rd graders. So we found out they were 5th graders and a couple of us went over to ask them because we couldn't believe it. They just looked at us and didn't say anything. We sat back down and they hardly moved. Kinda like the guy was saying mannequin in that video.

It was like they were abused dogs and afraid to speak or misbehave at all. They just sat there like Children of The Corn some girl said. I hadn't even seen that movie yet. Back then it was a recent movie. Only a couple years back or so.

I had a job a few years ago migrating a school district from Novell to AD (seriously? people are still using Novell???) and I had to go to all the middle and high schools in the (very large) district.

Nearly all the kids had cellphones. I wasn't even allowed to use a calculator until high school.

They had a lockdown drill while I was at one of the schools. That was way worse than the nuclear bomb drills we had when I was a kid.

The district had some 15,000 computers, mostly laptops. There were computers everywhere. When I was in junior high/high school we had about 25-30 Apple IIs and Commodores, and my senior year the school replaced the Commodores with a couple dozen 088s and a handful of 286s.

Even the rich kids weren't rich enough for cell phones when I was a kid.

We had pagers back then. And only like 5% had them. Mostly bad boys. Dummies would get a page and act like they were important. Like dude... no one is calling you in high school. "Yo yo yo I got to cawl my boy back. He might need me!" Where, in 5th period Spanish?
