What do you do?

My job is fine, I'm pretty content.

I feel sorry for the earth's population, 'cause so few live in the U.S.A. At least the foreigners can copy our morality, they can visit but they cannot stay.

Absolutely.

Further, I got an offer from the company to relocate to East Asia at the start of 2023 due to the languages I've learned (Chinese and Japanese).
Even if I weren't satisfied, I have:
  • IRL friends who reach out to me constantly from university for watch parties for animated series, movies, gaming, or just to chat and shoot the breeze.
  • a drive to keep improving on my skills to make me more money.
  • almost a daily commission request due to spending my early 20's honing my artistic ability, so much so that I have to close them every week and occasionally raise prices to give me a break.
  • raised my writing ability so much that I got a couple publication offers that I declined since they're not my preferred publishers... and I didn't even submit anything: THEY found ME.
  • consistently receive good to excellent feedback for my writing.

If I ever decide to get published, that's just a third income stream for me. On top of my accounting work as my primary employment and the contractual work for my art... yeah I'm beyond satisfied.
And I'm not even 30~

Do I want to be here right now? No.

Do I realize how fortunate I am to have my particular job? Yes.

My current position doesn't give much opportunity for promotions, but it's alright since I don't do much work anyway.

I earn a typical middle class salary, it pays the bills and leaves enough for the occasional splurge.

And I don't have big ambitions or a thing for luxuries so it works out for me.

Yep. Job pays nice, I get to stay home every day, and I only have to do any work once every few months.

This is how I imagine the OF life. Probably not the reality for most on that site.

I suppose, my job is easy now. I print sticker labels for a dispensary. Basically print thousands of these small labels that wind out on a wheel, like a film reel to reel.

Compared to my last printing job where I had to lift 30-50+lbs sheets of aluminum/metals for road signs all day, this is good for my knees lol

pretty much

Just to add on that, I haven't figured out exactly what I'd want to do instead that's worth the risk to drop this one.

That was my second job out of college. I thought I could settle at $12-13 an hour, but man at my second year it dawned on me that I needed to get out. It hardly pays the bills for me and that job could get replaced/downsized by A.I. sooner than later. Best time to go back to school is now. My manager let me work part time (20-30 hours) while getting full time benefits while I went to school time.. Best decision I ever made for my career, and I'm doing great now.. Although it took me 7 years into my career change to where I am now and happy and pays and benefits are much better.. besides a lot of cool things to learn.
