Hypergamy is a concept that says , women will always be trying to date up when they find a better deal. They will always be attracted to the most powerful male in the group . And there are exceptions to this.

But hypergamy is women always seeking the top tier men. Now once a woman locks down one of these types , she will be satisfied . But they are always looking for the most powerful male.

Having multiple women around is a part of that , because top tier men attract the most women. This ties into the 80/20 rule , 80% of women want the top 20% of men

I'm not sure what the real answers are but the fact of the matter is that men are struggling to find partners and it's having some pretty bad consequences. I'm an educated person who people online and IRL say is attractive but has never had a LTR and I've suffered a lot because of that. This isn't a unique experience.

I have a friend who does the whole pick up game and I had some friends who are women act all indignant when it was referred to as a "game." Whatever you want to call it, as a guy you need to be the one to approach if you're not ridiculously attractive or rich. So there's a certain way to increase your interactions and success rate.

It's not intuitive and it's looked down upon because people see it as gross, but as a normal guy you're gonna get slaughtered on dating apps so you need to be able to increase interactions IRL without getting beat up or have women throw drinks on you, laugh you out of a building, or straight up tell you to fuck off. I've seen or experienced all of these.

So for the real answer as to why this all exists? Idk, but it's clear there's a problem (or set of problems) for a massive group of men and young men. Neither Andrew Tate nor the milquetoast advice you normally see like having hobbies, advanced degrees, etc. are enough alone to solve this very complex and emotionally charged set of problems.

1) Is it a theory? or something that that's been empirically proved by studies?

Actually, America and similar countries are the few and small between that put massive pressure on men to marry similar age women. The age gap of marriage is much largerthroughout most of the planet.

Basically, men want to fuck younger women but most can't so they cope and date older women instead.

History has always glorified young women regardless of Beauty standards. Beauty standards and age preference aren't the same. Beauty standards across the planet change, but men's desire across the planet to want to sleep with women typically 25 and under is quite universal.

Society has done literally everything it can to shame men into not wanting younger women and DESPITE all that...all viable anonymous large scale studies with no repercussions yield they want younger women.

But this isn't true of every aspect of society. I point to baby faced korean boy band members as a counter rebuttal.

Tbf, k-pop models are still pretty ripped and a lot of them have six packs, still indicators of high T and they tend to have good jaw structure. Also, Korean guys are pretty dang tall for Asian standards. Good looking Korean guys still largely fall within most of the stereotypes of traditionally masculine men, they just don't look like lumberjacks due to not being able to grow much facial hair, but large scale studies have shown minimal facial hair is largely the preference for women worldwide anyways, and it's more genetic than "health and virility" based.

This one is blatantly untrue. Studies show most of us want a partner that is as educated and successful as we are. Not more so.

Let's push this back to commonalities: Do you think of a man being successful has a larger impact on his dating life than it would a good woman? We both the answer to this, I just want to see how honest you are.

If you expect most modern woman to be reliant on you, cook and clean for you, pop out babies/stay at home.. you are looking at a dwindling population.
