i don't have a problem with the actual script, but all the fake urgency clash with the free roam nature of the game. i still wish it's more rags to riches tho.

I haven't seen Edgerunners, but I like the story to the game.

basically, V just wants to be a Night City legend, like Johnny Silverhand (Keanu's ghost), and others who came before them who left some kinda mark on the city.

that goal gains more weight after V starts dying due to the chip in their head trying to get rid of their consciousness, so they want to feel like they've done something and be remembered.

I thought the main story for the game (and even many of the side quests) was fantastic.

The quest with the crucifixion was fucking excellent IMO
