.. with no links to click?

Received an online order confirmation email with the usual info I put in, that's no big deal since it's all made up.. it chose a restaurant from the chain on the other side of the country (the internet at work says we're in that state) and all the info of the restaurant is correct.

Whoever or whatever never picked the order up, they chose to pay at the restaurant but I never got a pick up confirmation

What gives?

Link was likely flagged and removed by your provider to prevent customers from clicking on the link, it may actually just be hidden as opposed to removed entirely.

Or it's their first day and the forgot to add the very thing they are being paid to do, onboarding always has issues when training is a fifteen minute mass zoom meeting.

M'kay, thank you

Is there a chance someone remotely accessed my phones browser, saw that I previously ordered from that restaurant, used my saved info (apart from the card I use to pay) from the website and actually ordered something?

Probability and possibility; possible yes, probable unlikely.

Except to eat but you probably think that is pointless also.

your account may have been hacked, and someone ordered themselves food with it? that would be why it's on the other side of the country.

Companies require you to enter an email in order to do online ordering. Somebody probably just entered your email randomly to get the food. Somebody in Nigeria ordered Dominoes with my email.

It might have been left plaintext in their (the restaurants) database, whatever services they use; that would mean a problem on their end and not yours. Still not great, but that's more a, we built a vital piece of infrastructure that prioritized profit over everything else, problem.
