3 episodes in. So I asked my wife to recap the plot bc she has a habit of not paying attention and among other things, she said "everyone seems bad except the Starks and they built a wall because there are bad boys in the woods"

I dont know about real jousting but in the books its repeatedly mentioned that, unlike in the chaos of a real battle, horsemanship tends to be more important than sheer physical prowess when it comes to winning at jousting competitions.

I like this Littlefinger guy. Seems like a slimy bastard but still very charming.

They keep mentioning 5 Starks but i swear this Rickon dude hasn't even made an appearance yet.

The intro is cool. I assume you know about the hatred for the end of the series? How do you feel watching knowing it won't end well? Are you gonna stick through the whole series?

I know the ending is crap, and I know the fates of some of the characters and some of the major plot points, just because it has been inescapable as such a big part of pop culture over the past decade. As long as it keeps my attention, I'll probably stick through it. It's the journey, not the destination, etc. My wife isn't too big on gore and violence and stuff so I was worried she wouldn't like it but she has stuck through it so far.

To be fair the book series is called "A Song of Ice and Fire" and the first book in that is named "Game of Thrones". They just took it and ran with that one cause, really, it's all about that throne

Bronn's a sellsword; he quite literally sells his sword to the person who would give him the most money / advantage.

He also has the single best line in S1. One of a handful of characters who was greatly improved in the show versus the source material.

He's got a strong presence. I like him. but he is just Christopher Lee

Dance also voices King Emyhr in The Witcher 3.

Every generation of actors need a Christopher Lee, this guy's it.

Season two is kind of shit.

Why do they care so much that this dude is a eunuch? And if that's such a bad thing, how'd he get a cushy job on the small council? And why does the small council survive each new regime change? Shouldn't a new king, particularly one from a different house than the predecessor, want to axe all the previous loyalists and install a new council?

His abilities as spymaster are unmatched. He is an invaluable, irreplaceable asset to the Kingdoms.
