I remember when it was first a thing and I got it, but in practice it just was too distracting and I'd turn it all off in favor of seeing just the screen and darkness around. And for some stupid reason, now I don't like it dark anymore. I like to have the windows open and moderately bright inside. I do like glowing red lights, but I was told to stop being a weirdo and so much for that. Now, I don't even get to go in my office. But nevermind that...

So, what about you guys? Lights? Yes no? Favorite color? I liked red or rainbow.

I do think it's a bit annoying yes. I don't get the love for RGB lights especially. I would want the lights to convey meaningful information, not just be colorful for its own sake.

not the same thing, but a couple devices I've recently obtained have the stupidestly bright white LEDs on them. damn things are like spotlights and if you get in front of them it casts an extremely crisp shadow.

I never really understood the wanton RGB love and it is gotten absurd now that they are sticking it on every component. I want to go in the opposite direction and just get a generic 90's beige box at this point.

Yeah I swapped out my RGB keyboard for a normal one and I haven't gone back.

It's just in your face and annoying. I think it looks alright in the computer case, but not in your face.

No, I love it. I just really like to have a lot of ambient lighting.

LEDs either, make light, or make heat.
I don't want either of those on my box I want to keep cool.

And I like simple stuff.

No RGB gamer stuff for me.

i like it on mice and keyboards. i dont really need it on anything else

I don't really see the point of it. It was cool for a few years but now, I just want my PC to hide in the corner and do its job.

I like looking inside of my case. It s custom liquid cooling loop so I enjoy watching it.

I can understand that.

I used to like having active screensavers so I would try and find really busy ones that looked like they were doing high tech shit. Eventually, I just used the SETI@home one.

"Omg look at his screensaver! It's doing all kinds of cool shit with a colored graph and it moves! Omg he's findin' lizard people with it!"
