There's all sorts of different styles Berserk explores in terms of the artwork too

So, some stuff is a little more stylized or a little more detailed than others, etc, or uses altogether different techniques. Still! It is very consistent and the central characters (Guts, etc) remain the same as far as their depiction and personalities goes. You would enjoy it, I think. Honestly

Berserk left me drained. To read all that horror and not have any payoff. Last time I checked in they were on their way to some fairy forest or something and caska was still a lemon. Muira was so slow that I doubt it moved a lot further forward since then.

Amazing artist but being a berserk fan was almost as masochistic as being a berserk character.

Not bad but not classic

It's like the first of the Golden Age Trilogy movies. Obv that doesn't do what the anime OR manga did, but it's cleaner and when it's right, it's right. I think a lot of us just want it to be perfect and when it isn't it's disappointing and it's hard to have the right perspective because the 90's anime is such a classic, in fact. The new show didn't come anywhere close to being that, but they did a good job with Farnese at least.

I'd say it's worth a watch

I'm surprised you liked the series. It probably has the worst cgi animation I've ever seen. Like it straight up gave me motion sickness at times. It's hard for me to let go if only because of how visually amazing the source material is as evidenced by your posts.

edit: Yea the other thing that bothers me is that the og anime series was super low budget and yet they made it work. There were no excuses for the new series.
