Also this. And Cuba is known for having great doctors and care. For most common diseases and conditions is likely that any dr in the world will do just fine.

May sound dumb but I was wondering if they actually break into your house like what they do in... House? For unbreakable cases let's say. I'm no Murican hence the stupid question

That is made up for the show.
Same thing with that you must be missing for 24 hours before the police can look for you, or that you are allowed one phone call.

Doctors make more money here. Which might be why they flock to this country.

America has the best anything and everything, if you can afford it. That's kind of the important distinction to keep in mind

I wish this was actually true.
Because it's literally the polar exact opposite in real life, where we get raked over the coals and subjected to appropriate use lectures whenever we order anything other than an x-ray.

Considering the average primary care physician in America makes $150,000 a year, I find it unlikely.

And Cuban doctors are paid terribly to the point that they have to get a second job like driving a taxi just to make ends meet.

They are paid better than average. The "paid terribly" is in reference to the fact that they are paid less than taxi drivers, something that makes sense if you consider who is doing the paying: rich American tourists instead of Cuban natives. It's just one of those "lol, look at how backwards they are!" statements that only works because the person making the claim cannot envision anything beyond their own borders, or even their own personal, tiny life. It's the same reason that farming gold in Runescape is higher paying than many jobs in South America: scalping Americans is just really lucrative when your economy is so much smaller.

This is an English speaking forum primarily from America. Cuba is close to America and thus is an option for normal people from America to border-hop to get care. Cuba is generally not all that healthy in that grand scheme of the world (Bloomburg gives a HI of 74.66, which puts it considerably below the highs elsewhere) but still higher than the US (HI of 73.02). Thus for the average American Cuba gets a better rap than they would otherwise, and thus on an American forum it would get glorified. In addition it is extremely cheap compared to what it would be in America (for the obvious reasons) and thus it is even more attainable, and thus has more traction. Compare that to something like Canada, where there is a far bigger jump versus America in terms of its Index but it also comes with the downside of being more expensive for the average American to just border hop to get health care (though people still do it for things like Insulin or other prescription drugs that are hit by the "American healthcare tax").

Why is it unlikely? Although I did it with a 200,000 supposed average, which I found online, a while ago.

With current inflation and 150,000, I make 1/5,7 of what they make, math still checks out.
