If so I think that's a huge reason lately. People paying $10-$15 just on tickets alone, being in public. It's a different experience than watching a movie from the comfort of your own home where you can drink, pause whenever, and dont have to deal with assholes being on their phone.

You're definitely right, it is a big difference especially for someone like myself who is half-deaf. During Endgame I missed some critical lines because of my hearing but watching from home I can understand everything.

I mean, I think I payed like $6 for a ticket and like, I didn't love the movie but I also didn't hate it which a lot of the internet did. It had some funny moments and I've liked the deleted scenes they've posted too.
