The horror one. I saw trailers about it and no doubt the movie is being very cryptic on purpose. I don't normally watch horror films because I get scared easily, but this one has me interested. Going to be watching it tomorrow with my friends (they paid for my ticket, so why not!).

It looks potentially good. I won't see it til it's out on streaming though. I dont go to the theater very often these days. Usually only stuff like Marvel will get me to go

Same here, but my friend already bought my ticket so it would be a waste to turn it down. I just hope I don't shit my pants watching this movie, people are saying it's really good and scary lol.

How was it? I kind of want check it out now that I'm seeing all the positive buzz around it.

Let me just tell you that even my friends, who are seasoned horror flick viewers, were not only frightened like crazy but even they thought it was really good. I had to cover my face because the movie gets severely intense. I expected more from the story imo, but it at least does a good job subverting one expectations. Come watch the movie if you want to be scared the fuck out.

I thought it looked dumb as fuck from the trailers but supposedly the story takes huge unexpected turns so I'm pretty interested. Might catch it sometime this week.

Shit was good as fuck

I saw it after a friend told me about it and how he heard it subverted expectations - we saw it yesterday and I was slightly dissapointed... it was definitely unsettling and had a few good jump scares but I think I was expecting something more like Cabin in the Woods... I don't regret watching it but would have waited to see it at home

I feel like I'm in a mirror universe regarding this movie 'cause I thought it sucked. I was onboard for the first half, but then the halfway point is when the quality plummets and the ending tanked it even more. Easily the worst movie I saw this year, and I'm hoping that the couple of comparisons I saw made to X are unfounded because I plan on seeing an X/Pearl double feature later this week.

Are there many jump scares in this movie?

I love horror movies but I just cant stand jump scares. Dont care how scary a movie is, I can handle it, but its the physicality of jump scares that I just cannot stand. Gives me so much anxiety.

Been hearing great things about this movie so I really want to see it but thats the thing thats holding me back from it

There are jump scares, but most of the horror is the environment and how disgusting and gruesome some scenes can get.

I want to see this film so much right now.

My local theater is a bit behind in times though.

It was good, didnt expect the midpoint twist at all.

I thought it was great. Clever plotting and a lot of fucked up fun.

X is still my favorite horror flick of 2022 and Im very much looking forward to Pearl. Going to see it Sunday night.

Pearl looks super interesting and unique. Though I don't think I can survive anymore horrors lol.

Well after seeing X, I'll respectfully disagree (at least for the second half, first half was a game of waiting for the other shoe to drop) and say that not only were the X comparisons I saw a couple people make to Barbarian unwarranted, but X was also way better, as was Pearl.
