How is the OS compared to windows in terms of user customization? It's the one common tech product I don't know well at all, and I'm just curious. I've used windows my entire life, mainly for work and gaming, and I already have an ipad pro for content consumption, so I likely wont be buying one. Are you happy with it? Are there any advantages to using a macbook over a comparably priced windows laptop, aside from (what I've read) better battery life? I know they're supposedly superb in that regard. --- Sig goes here ... Copied to Clipboard!

Back when Apple used Intel processors, Macs were basically a ripoff outside of having long shelf lives and resale value. This completely changed with the switch to Apple's own SoCs. Now even the lowest-end Macs are ridiculously OP and have insane battery life. As far as macOS vs. Windows goes, it depends on what you're going to be doing on a day-to-day basis, and whether you're already in the Apple ecosystem. I have no idea what you mean by "user customization". ... Copied to Clipboard!

There is no advantage to owning a Mac unless you need the ecosystem for work. If you're use to Windows don't bother. Not that it's bad, but it's completely pointless. The ensuing discussion will also be pointless. --- It's not the end of the world, but we can see it from here. ... Copied to Clipboard!
