He was a habitual criminal who had gotten a warrant that morning for first degree murder so he wanted to go out in a ball of flames so he drove around town shooting people and carjacking them. There was no one mass group. This is like people trying to separate gang mass shootings from white people mass shootings. They're all mass shootings. It doesn't matter what the precipitating crime reason is. If you shoot a bunch of people at once it's a mass shooting.
