i'm in the second area (trying not to spoil anything) so i feel like sam should know things about deliveries and all. but some of the shit makes me think they're taking too much blood from sam as he sleeps. one of the main quests is to deliver some stuff and connect a city to the chiral network. same old, same old, right? but then sam is all "why can't they just print everything they need?" like bro, your job is literally to deliver stuff they can't print. that's all you do besides chiral network connections

another piece of dumb writing is when i got some new piece of equipment. they're like "hey you unlocked this new gear, it does X, go check it out!" and one of the other holograms slides in and says the same thing. then, i accept an order, and the fabrication screen comes up, that new gear is already highlighted, so they jump into explaining the exact same piece of gear, again, for the third time in a row. like i get it, i got a new thing, it's shiny, i'll check it out. but no reason to do it three times in a row

Sam is a pessimist and cares very little about the world. Even with his skills and knowledge, it's part of his character to act like a doomer and complain about everything.

aside from the dumb writing some of the walking and driving physics are broken. there's times i'm just walking up the steps to an auto-paver and i literally can't go up the steps, just jittering back and forth as if i don't gain enough height with each step or something. and if i sometimes try to climb a rock about waist high i get up there then teleported back to where i started, even though it ate away at my stamina

driving physics can get wonky as well. was driving into a city on a bike at high speed at smacked into the gates that drop. i just held the accelerator to speed through when the dropped, but instead started bouncing for no reason. i kept bouncing for several seconds even though i was on flat ground, even after i stopped. it seems like the game "buffers" some physics somehow?

there's also times i had trouble grabbing onto a rope that someone left. trying to walk around to get the perfect angle and the only option it gives me is to climb the post instead of grabbing the rope for some reason
