I don't know if this is an actual issue right now, or just more clickbait to get people talking about things like I am right now. Basically there are some people that feel like Americans shouldn't move to Mexico because of things like colonization. Guess in some places now there are more English speakers than Spanish ones, and the rent prices are getting jacked up as well.

I don't really have much of a thought and was curious about yours. I see how Americans going there can really fuck things up, but can Americans not leave their Country if they want?

I thought about San Miguel de Allende... but the nearest hospital (like, for an emergency) is a 45-minute drive. But other than that, it's a very nice place with great weather.

I don't see it as a bad thing. I'm sure a lot of restaurants/businesses are benefiting from more business. It doesn't seem to be a London-type situation where people buy houses only as an investment and only stay there for maybe 2 months out of the year.

I was just thinking its pretty messed up if you spend your life against illegal immigration but then go to a country after you retire to make your money count for more.

Like people in Mexico cross the border cause its easier than going through all that paperwork that cost money.

when people from Mexico come to the US due to lack of economic opportunity, threat of danger, etc. - Americans: eww, no

when Americans go to Mexico because it has a cheaper cost of living, affordable health care, etc. - "nice, man"

You are assuming all the Americans that moved down there did so illegally, as well as assuming they were all against illegal or even legal immigration. We have no idea what their immigration status or stances on immigration are.

I was born in the USA from 1 parent that crossed illegal and 1 parent that came here legally.

like people that are against illegal immigrant should really get a perspective on why they're coming here illegal and why the process is so hard for them.

a lot of people can't read or don't have documents to submit.

My dad the other day hired someone from Mexico who was an actual native Mexican like the whole speaking a dialect kind.

We had a hard time talking to him in Spanish because he doesn't know much.

These people want to work and provide for their poor villages

If people want to live in Mexico then they should be able to sponsor a family that wants to take their place in America

that is the only way I can see it being fair.

I don't really care. If they want to move there and it's legal and safe, I don't see anything wrong with it.

Because to some people, and the people in that video, they think Americans are going to do to Mexico what Europeans did to North America, I guess.

I have no issue with it. I very much think people should have a larger ability for free movement. Move wherever you want.
