sorry, can you elaborate on what you are saying here? are you saying i am stereotyping women? Or are you saying that it is a stereotype of perception? Or are you saying that women get into it more because of involuntary stereotyping? Because actual data is what I am referring to, from various studies that have taken place.

The armchair shitposting philosopher in me thinks it might be because typical male culture is much less forgiving of appearing "weak", and believing in fortunes and moon signs and shit is considered weak. Most of the type of men who would otherwise believe in that stuff are probably roped into major religions.

Also, purely anecdotal, but most new-age and pagan women I see have a severely hostile opinion of traditional religious structures, usually because they themselves were abused by them or know someone who was. It stands to reason that a lot of these people who believe in spiritualism, but are exposed to the evils propagated by mainstream religions, would seek spiritual fulfillment through alternative means.

Depends on what you mean by "stupid". It's effectively no different than any other socially acceptable religion, there's just no human or mythological figurehead from whom to derive dogma. So if you think all religious/spiritual belief is stupid, sure.

I think a lot of occult/pagan stuff is a bit silly (despite how cool it is <_<), but I ain't gonna knock someone's spirituality if they're not hurting anybody and they feel it's a net positive on their life. And honestly even if it is a bunch of hoowie (hooey? whoee?), my experience with occultists and pagans is largely much more positive than the Christians I grew up with. If their disposition is in anyway derived from that spirituality, it can't be all bad. >___>

The only way I can make sense of astrology actually being real is that we're all living on one big centrifuge and maybe we get divided up in that sense. Many things about our environment affect how we end up. If anything the prediction of who we are probably has more to do with the cycle of celestial bodies' energies affecting our genes. Things like cosmic radiation and gravity fluctuations that happen like clockwork over centuries. Mostly likely though it's all vague nonsense based on nothing.

Women value feelings more than men. They will do the mental gymnastics necessary to validate their feelings.

Also that bit about old pagan religions and feminism etc. sounds about right.

I went to a Renaissance fair recently and the place had spiritual crap with crystals, astrology, psychic readings and tarot everywhere. Anytime I saw a group of the hippy crystal types it was always one new age Jesus looking dude with 2-3 beautiful hippy girls clinging to him. Soooo It's clearly good for something lol
