https://www.neogaf.com/threads/belated-july-number-crunching-npd-2005.59291/ I came across this old report of July 2005's NPD numbers, and was shocked to see that FFVII was still selling 7,495 units a month by this point, 4 years after the PS2's launch. Hell, even FFT is listed as selling over 2,000. That seems too high to just be stores selling off the last of their unsold copies. I know that the PS1 had a long tail end, but I would have thought that any older games would have stopped being made by this point, but I guess they must have been. I doubt anyone has an actual answer to this, but just something I found interesting. Edit: This is more copies than FFX sold that month! --- Congrats on Advokaiser for winning the 2018 Guru Contest! They were still selling sealed copies of FF9 and Chrono Cross in 2018 - https://www.reddit.com/r/psx/comments/883itz/squareenix_store_having_a_sale_on_sealed_ps1/ Gonna guess they ran out of FF7 copies in the early-mid 2010s? --- All the stars in the sky are waiting for you. ...
