why the fuck do you let me preorder a game and tell me that Ill be able to pick it up on launch and then on launch day text me that my preorder wont be available for another 5 days? fucking idiots.

In best buy's defense, it's very possible they had a supply chain issue.

That said though, they do some really shady shit so fuck them! I don't feel even slightly bad for all the PS5 i've gotten from them.

I had Best Buy install a sound system in a car of mine years back. They forgot to reconnect the cable for the passenger side inner door handle when reassembling the door. No biggie. Easy fix, just pop the panel off and connect the cable. I'm not all that mechanically inclined but it's something that even I could do. Which is exactly who had to do it because Best Buy refused to accept responsibility for it.

I had brought the car back within days and they claimed that someone else could have broken the handle within that span of time. Door worked fine prior to the install.

Tried speaking to a manager and called corporate, but they held firm that they were not responsible and wouldn't touch the car.

If I had pulled the panel off and disconnected the speaker, and then told them that the speaker didn't work, then they would have fixed it. But if I'm going through that much trouble to subvert their failure to address an issue they caused, I may as well connect the cable. So I did.

Long story short: Fuck Best Buy.

I feel like Best Buy ceased to be good or relevant in the past decade or so. Now it's an oversized shack with overpriced appliances; see also Radioshack at the end of their day.

I stopped going there when they stopped selling CDs, you are an electronics store, how are you gonna get rid of CDs?

Yeah, the rows and rows of CDs and DVDs were the main reason I used to really love Best Buy. It was wrong to get rid of it.

I like Best Buy. I liked it better when CompUSA and Circuit City were alive.

I miss 3DS and New 3DS games at Best Buy...

I don't think I've been able to buy physical copies of games on day 1 for over a year now, it's always sold out or shipping is delayed for me

Physical was better when we got instruction booklets with the games too.

Yeah. It made them great. Now there's just no point in buying physical. I kinda wish I hadn't bought my physical Switch games because its also a pain in switching those carts and they're really tiny.

I like physical for switch. But I also let my brother borrow them when I go home. So, it works out. Plus, when they are physical, they need a lot less memory since it just needs enough for games saves. That way, I wont have to switch out memory cards (yet), and can keep most of my games loaded up

Sure. But since theres no official gameshare, its a workaround that comes with certain risks. Not only that, but one console will have to be connected to the internet to play. A all times. And like physical, only one person can play each game at a given time. Id rather just use physical so we can still play on the go

Not sure about other platforms, but on PS4 there is an official Share Play function, with zero risks. As for account sharing, both people can play the same game at the same time. I know this because I bought Elden Ring on my account, and my brother plays it at the same time on his account. We've co-oped several games that only one of us owns.

The always online bit may be true. I haven't tested it as both of our consoles are online under normal conditions. But the rest of the stuff you mention is not true.

it's not a work around, it's expressly stated by Nintendo (and Microsoft btw) how it works, both people can play the same game or different games at the same time.

The other stuff wasnt for PS5 or XBox. That was specifically for switch. I know the other consoles have it. Either way, I still like physical and stuff

Maybe its changed. I remember a while ago, its wasnt official. And it was definitely called a workaround. I remember when people were talking about it. And also calling it a pain to set up And while I heard other systems talking about playing the game at the same time, I remember specifically switch people no t ring able to. That said, J remember you couldnt earlier for one of the other systems, as well But I dont remember which one Either way, the online thing is still the big issue. And physical just fits my lifestyle more. Plus, my brother isnt the only person I share my games with. Theres my co-worker who plays his switch at work with me. Ive mentioned before that me and him play a lot of Roguelikes/Roguelites together. We swap physical games to And even another co-worker on the other shift Not as much with him, though
