It seems like it's literally pay to play. Like, you have very little shit to do or anything unless you buy eleventybillion crowns.

eso is pre-tiber septim, so the non premium currency is gold/drakes and the premium currency is crowns.

and yeah, the fact that the subscription model doesn't include the latest DLC area kinda sucks. I'd probably play the game more if the sub gave me everything. But in the end I guess its not that different to nearly every other MMO that wants a subscription (in the form of ESO+) and a $60 dollar annual expansion out of you.

Surprised Warframe's way of making premium currency the primary trading currency hasn't caught on. It works well.

I bought this game super cheap, but I'm regretting not buying something else.

So far it's making Fallout 76 look like an exquisitely crafted experience.

Weirdly, I'm playing in Vvardfell (spelling?) eh, Morrowind and even though the graphics look crap, the design is lovely.

I bought the Blackwood Collection (the game + every expansion up until Blackwood) for like 15 and there's loads and loads and loads of content. I've put about 40 hours in on and off and doubt I've done even a third of the stuff there. I don't know where you're getting this idea that there's nothing to do without microtransactions. I've never paid the subscription either.
